"Designing and Evaluating Pragmatic Trials of Behavioral Science-Based Interventions to Support Deprescribing"Julie Christine Lauffenburger, PharmD, PhDAssistant Professor in the Department of EpidemiologyJulie C. Lauffenburger, PharmD, PhD, is an Assistant Professor in Medicine at Harvard Medical School and an epidemiologist in the Division of Pharmacoepidemiology and Pharmacoeconomics at Brigham and Women's Hospital. Her work focuses medication optimization and adherence in chronic diseases, where she has expertise in pragmatic trials, observational study designs, and predictive analytics. Additional areas of interest include developing and evaluating scalable behavioral interventions to improve healthcare delivery, especially using technology and Health IT. She is currently a Principal Investigator of several projects from the NIH and is an Associate Editor (Technical Editor and Scientific Communications Liaison) for Circulation: Cardiovascular Quality and Outcomes.
