He is a founding member of Clemson University's Public Health Strategy Team and currently leading efforts to direct Clemson's COVID-19 testing strategies during the 2020-2021 academic year. This work has involved the development of dynamic SARS-CoV-2 transmission models to inform optimal testing strategies and the implementation of public health strategies to mitigate SARS-CoV-2 spread. Dr. Rennert engages in collaborative health research across the university and Prisma Health, the largest non-profit health care provider in South Carolina. His work involves the development and implementation of statistical techniques for public health and medical studies and evaluation of public health policies.
