DBEI & CCEB Research Day and Lecture by Google’s Cardiovascular Innovations Leader

Please join us as we showcase the highlights of our important work on April 10 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Smilow Center for Translational Research, 3400 Civic Center Blvd. Register to attend our Research Day, which will include this year's Brian L. Strom Visiting Professorship Lecture. The event is a joint project of the CCEB and the Department of Biostatistics, Epidemiology and Informatics.

9 a.m. to noon: Flash talks; snapshots of our latest innovations, presented by our leaders Stephen Kimmel, MD, MSCE (epidemiology), J. Richard Landis, PhD (biostatistics) and Jason Moore, PhD, FACMI (informatics) 

Noon to 1 p.m.: Research posters and lunch

1 p.m.: Brian L. Strom Visiting Professorship Lecture by Michael V. McConnell, MD, MSEE, head of cardiovascular health innovations at Verily (formerly Google) Life Sciences and Clinical Professor at Stanford University. Dr. McConnell focuses on mobile/digital health, with a strong emphasis on cardiovascular-disease prevention and management, and novel mobile/wearable devices. After the talk, please stay to enjoy refreshments and meet Dr. McConnell.
