Surveillance Epidemiologist
Nkuchia M’ikanatha is lead epidemiologist for antimicrobial resistance response at the Pennsylvania Department of Health, and an adjunct scholar at the Perelman School of Medicine, University of Pennsylvania. He leads Pennsylvania-based research in collaboration with the National Antimicrobial Resistance Monitoring System, which in turn collaborates with the US Food and Drug Administration and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. In addition, he participates in the FDA GenomeTrakr Network laboratory research at the Pennsylvania State University Department of Food Sciences. Nkuchia coordinates reviews for books and other media for Emerging Infectious Diseases.
