Penn Data Store (University of Pennsylvania Health System)

Penn Medicine's clinical data warehouse, includes patient demographics, bed movements, coded procedures, coded diagnosis, medical history, allergies, lab results, microbiology, blood bank, pathology, vital signs, surgery, anesthesia, linkable to biosamples from Penn Biobank

2. Under SHARED RESOURCES (Left hand side) select INFORMATION SERVICES / TELECOM

Penn Medicine Biobank

Provides access to a annoted blood and tissue samples, linkable to Penn Data Store

All studies requesting specimens must have IRB approval, requests will be reviewed and ranked with NIH funding getting priority biobank@upenn.edu.  It is recommended to consult the PMBB technical director to review sample details and feasibility. Investigators can submit applications via email to Kristine Gindele kgindele@mail.med.upenn.edu.

United Health care claims database system, data available  from 2001 to 2016, includes inpatient, outpatient and pharmacy claims , laboratory results

National probability survey that provides information on inpatients discharge from non-federal short stay hospitlas in the US, conducted annually, data available from 1965 to 2015

 National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES)

Program of studies designed to assess the health and nutritional status of adults and children in the United States, combines interviews and physical examinations, includes the National Youth Fitness Survey conducted in 2012 and collected nationally represented data on physical activity and fitness level of children and adolescents through interviews and fitness tests
