Assistant Professor of Medicine and Epidemiology

Dr. Eneanya is a clinical investigator with research interests that center on palliative care, informed decision-making and health disparities among patients with advanced chronic kidney disease. Specifically, she is focusing on developing educational tools to improved informed dialysis decision-making and communication among elderly and frail patients with advanced kidney disease. She also is interested in exploring racial and ethnic differences in a variety of outcomes related to palliative nephrology. Her work has been generously supported by the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (K23 career development award and loan repayment program), the National Institute on Minority Health and Health Disparities (loan repayment program) and the American Society of Nephrology Foundation for Research.
