Kathleen Joy Propert ScD
Dr. Propert has extensive experience as director or co-director of multiple data coordinating centers (DCCs), especially in urology. She currently serves as director of the Study Design and Biostatistics (SDAB) Core for the Institute for Translational Medicine and Therapeutics (ITMAT), the primary home of the CTSA at Penn. In this capacity she provides consulting services throughout the university for proposal development, study design and data analysis. She serves in a similar role as director of biostatistics for the Center for Excellence in Environmental Toxicology (CEET). Her current focus is on methods and collaborations in T1 Translational Research—particularly animal research and early stage clinical trials. This includes her role as co-PI of the DCC for a new cooperative group evaluating immunotherapies for canine cancers. Her primary clinical and scientific applications include musculoskeletal diseases, traumatic brain injury, and biomarkers in cardiovascular disease.
