Dr. Dietz currently leads a team of 19 cancer epidemiologists covering all major tumor types across early and late development. She previously was the Therapeutic Area Head of the Oncology team with eight reports covering GI, thoracic, head and neck, prostate cancers and melanoma. While in the role of Director of the Oncology team, she led a team of three reports. During her tenure at Merck, Dr. Dietz has received the Excel Award for Epi methods course planning for statisticians, the Impact Award for Leadership and Support of Keytruda ODAC preparations, as well as the Excel Award for outstanding leadership on the EXPRESS study and the Excellence Award for successful execution of FDA requested post-authorization safety study.

Dr. Vogl’s research focus is on clinical trials of novel therapies plasma cell malignancies and specifically myeloma, with an emphasis on translational Phase I and II trials. He is the Director of the Abramson Cancer Center Clinical Research Unit, overseeing the work of over 90 research nurses, research coordinators, regulatory coordinators and biospecimen coordinators, who together manage over 300 active cancer clinical trials. Dr. Vogl has published in several high-impact journals such as the Cancer Research Communications and Clinical Cancer Research.

Dr. Tuton serves as Executive Director of Bridging the Gaps, a program that links the training of health professionals with the provision of health-related service for vulnerable populations.  The program is jointly administered by eight academic health centers in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and one in New Jersey, who partner each year with over 100 community organizations serving vulnerable populations.  Dr. Tuton is also the Director of Professional Development for FOCUS on Health & Leadership for Women, a program promoting advocacy, education and research in women’s health and the advancement of women in academic medicine.  Due to her role in FOCUS, she was a Co–Investigator on the unique R01 funded NIH–TAC (Transforming Academic Culture) study.  Dr. Tuton also served as an Associate Director of the Perelman School of Medicine’s Robert Wood Johnson Clinical Scholars Program and at its conclusion, became an Associate Director for the National Clinician Scholars Program.  In this capacity, she co–directs a career development curriculum.  Due to her experience in professional and career development, Dr. Tuton co–directs other related initiatives focused on faculty and trainees, as well as on STEMM faculty across the university.

Dr. Richterman uses multiple research methodologies to evaluate the relationships between poverty, food security, and individual and population health outcomes.  He is interested in both non–experimental approaches to assessing the effects of poverty reduction and social protection programs on health outcomes, and in conducting hypothesis-driven research to design and evaluate innovative economic interventions to enable health behaviors and improve clinical outcomes.
