Exercise Should Play a Bigger Role in Cancer Treatment

Kathryn Schmitz, PhD, MPH, an associate professor of Epidemiology and Biostatistics, was interviewed by WHYY Radio about evidence found by the American College of Sports Medicine that exercise for cancer patients results in overwhelming benefits. Schmitz reports, "We should be getting to a point where cancer patients should receive a prescription and be sent to a widely available program for exercise during and after cancer treatment."
